We believe that a thriving career as a mortgage adviser should be open to all. We want to take on new starters and help them to succeed and grow in an exciting and challenging profession.

Whether you’re highly experienced in financial services or a newly qualified adviser, our network gives you everything you could possibly need to succeed with continued support throughout the relationship. Once you have successful onboarded with the network our experienced training and development team will take you all the way to Competent Adviser Status (CAS).

Our training programme is bespoke to each individual but for new starters hoping to reach CAS it may look something like this:

1. Once you’re onboarded, you’ll enrol in our Training and Compliance Academy, where you’ll learn how to put the theory into practice. Through a blended learning experience, you’ll discover how to build rapport, gather the necessary hard and soft facts from your clients, and provide the right advice. You’ll get to familiarise yourself with our systems and processes and the types of products we offer.

2. As well as face to face training (online or onsite), you’ll have access to Your Learning Hub, where you’ll be able to complete a whole host of market, product and regulatory training. Content and information is updated daily so you will never run out of reading material.

3. You’ll attend regular webinars with our lenders and insurers, to familiarise yourself and keep up to date with their products and criteria.

4. Under the supervision of our training and development team, you’ll start advising clients – they’ll guide and support you from fact finding, through to sourcing and quote, giving you constructive and actionable feedback to help you address any development areas.

5. You’ll be supported every step of the way and work on a variety of cases, developing an extensive knowledge of the market, strong business ethics and excellent client-facing skills.

6. Depending on your progress, Competent Adviser Status can be achieved in as little as 6 months.

After you gain Competent Adviser Status, we’ll continue to support and develop you with regular activities to help you with your Continuing Professional Development, keep your knowledge up to date, your client-facing skills sharp and assist you in continued business growth.

You’ll have your own dedicated account manager and compliance expert, direct contact with a Non-CAS support specialist, a telephone general support team and all the solutions you could possible need to manage your business as effectively.
